Frequently asked questions

Is this trip suitable for first-time visitors to Nicaragua?
Yes. This itinerary is designed as a rounded introduction to Nicaragua, combining culture, landscapes and signature experiences with private coordination and local support throughout.
Do I need to be very fit for this trip?
Not especially, but a few days are more active than others. Cerro Negro and Telica involve hiking, and Ometepe is a long full-day excursion. We can advise on suitability and adapt where needed.
Is volcano boarding mandatory?
No. At Cerro Negro, guests can choose to board down the slope or walk back down after reaching the summit.
What is the Estelí cigar experience actually like?
What makes Estelí special is that it is one of the few places in the world where many premium cigars are still hand rolled, and the experience gives you an insider's look at the culture, history, craftsmanship and agricultural traditions behind that region of Nicaragua.
Can the itinerary be adjusted?
Yes. This is a curated sample route, and we can tailor pacing, hotel level, optional activities and selected stops around your dates and priorities.
Is this tour private?
Yes, the trip is designed around private transfers and a private touring format, although some volcano logistics may occasionally use shared local operations where that is the most practical option.
What should I pack for the volcano days?
We recommend good walking shoes, lightweight clothing, sun protection, a light layer for the evening, and anything you'd want for dusty or windy conditions on the volcanoes.
Are meals included?
Breakfast is included each day. Other meals are left flexible so you can enjoy local restaurants and choose the style of dining that suits you.
Can I extend the trip after Day 9?
Yes. The most natural options are extra nights in Granada or a follow-on extension to San Juan del Sur, depending on the pace and style of trip you want.
How do I book?
Send us your dates, group size and preferred travel style through WhatsApp or the enquiry form, and we'll confirm availability and build the best-fit version of the trip for you.
