Frequently asked questions

What makes this different from the Nicaraguan Immersion tour?
This is the more complete and more fixed version of the route. It follows a broader 12-day journey through León, Estelí, Granada, Ometepe and San Juan del Sur, with a stronger sense of progression and more time to settle into each stage.
Is this trip private?
Yes. The journey is designed around private transfers and a private touring format, although a few logistics on volcano days may occasionally involve shared local transport where that is the most practical setup.
How active is the trip?
It is balanced rather than extreme. Some days are more active, especially Cerro Negro, Telica and the Ometepe excursion, but the route also includes slower cultural days and several nights on the coast to unwind.
What is the Estelí cigar experience actually like?
Estelí is one of the few places in the world where many premium cigars are still hand rolled, and this part of the journey offers a deeper look at the culture, history, craftsmanship and agricultural traditions behind that region of Nicaragua.
Are the San Juan del Sur days fixed or flexible?
They are intentionally lighter and more open. The idea is to finish the journey with time to slow down on the Pacific coast, while still leaving room for optional activities if you want them.
Is this suitable for first-time visitors to Nicaragua?
Yes. This itinerary is designed as a fuller introduction to the country, combining cultural depth, landscapes, artisan traditions and soft adventure with coordinated logistics throughout.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. Local support and guided experiences are arranged for you, and the route works well for travelers with little or no Spanish.
What should I pack?
We recommend light clothing, good walking shoes, sun protection, swimwear, and a light extra layer for volcano evenings and ferry days.
Can I extend the trip after Day 12?
Yes. The most natural option is extra time in San Juan del Sur, and we can also help if you plan to continue onward toward Costa Rica.
How do I book?
Send us your dates, group size and preferred hotel style through WhatsApp or the enquiry form, and we'll confirm availability and shape the best-fit version of the journey for you.
